Last Updated: February 2026
Welcome to KidsDev Academy! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the KidsDev Academy website, educational platforms, and associated services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you are a parent or guardian, you agree to these Terms on behalf of your child who uses the Services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for an account, enrolling in a course, or otherwise accessing our Services, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our Services.
2. Eligibility and Parental Consent
- Age Requirement: Our Services are designed for children between the ages of 6 and 16. However, any user under the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to register for a course or create an account.
- Parental Responsibility: Parents and guardians are solely responsible for monitoring their child's use of the Services and ensuring that their child complies with our Code of Conduct.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features (such as enrolled courses or premium materials), you may need to create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- Maintain the security of your password and account credentials.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Code of Conduct and Safety
KidsDev Academy is committed to providing a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment. All students must adhere to the following rules:
- Respect Others: No bullying, harassment, hate speech, or inappropriate language will be tolerated in live classes, forums, or project comments.
- Protect Privacy: Students must not share personal identifying information (such as home addresses, phone numbers, or full names) on public project boards or forums.
- Academic Integrity: Students are encouraged to share code and collaborate, but they must not pass off someone else's complete project as their own without giving credit.
Violation of this Code of Conduct may result in immediate suspension or termination of the student's access to the Services without a refund.
5. Intellectual Property
- Our Content: All lessons, videos, graphics, text, and software provided by KidsDev Academy are our intellectual property. You may not copy, distribute, or resell our course materials without explicit written permission.
- Student Content: Students retain ownership of the code, games, and projects they create using our platforms. By creating a project in a KidsDev class, you grant us a non-exclusive license to showcase the project (anonymously or with a first name only) on our website or social media for promotional purposes.
6. Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds
If you enroll in a paid mentorship program, bootcamp, or premium course:
- Payments: All fees are stated upfront and must be paid prior to the commencement of the cohort or class.
- Refunds: We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for most premium programs if your child feels the course isn't a good fit. After 7 days, no refunds will be issued. (Certain short-term bootcamps may have different refund policies stated at checkout).
- Cancellations: You may cancel an ongoing subscription or upcoming enrollment at any time by contacting our support team.
7. Limitation of Liability
KidsDev Academy strives to provide high-quality education, but our Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that our platform will always be error-free or uninterrupted. KidsDev Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our Services.
